Emmanuel Day School Year Calendar

The Emmanuel Day School follows a standard school year calendar. The winter and spring recesses follow the Newport Public School holidays.

September 4, Tuesday - First day of school

October 8, Monday - Columbus Day (no school)

November 12, Monday - Veteran’s Day (no school)

November 22-23, Thursday - Friday - Thanksgiving Recess (no school)

December 20 - January 1, Thursday - Tuesday - Christmas Recess (no school)
**December 20 - no school during the day, Christmas Show in evening

January 21, Monday - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (no school)

February 18-22, Monday - Friday - Winter/February Recess (no school)

March 13, Thursday - Parent/Teacher Conferences (no school)

March 21, Friday - Good Friday (no school)

April 14-18, Monday - Friday - Spring/April Recess (no school)

May 26, Monday - Memorial Day (no school)

June 11, Wednesday - Last day of school

June 12, Thursday - Graduation Ceremony

The Emmanuel Day School will close if the Newport Public School System is closed due to snow, hurricane, or other weather events. For Snow Day Announcements, etc., tune into local radio station WADK 1540, or NBC10 and watch across the bottom of the screen for the Emmanuel Day School closing or delay. Snow Days or other types of closings due to safety or weather, holidays, and vacations are included in your tuition payment(s), and cannot be refunded, or made-up.
